Life in a Day - July 24th, 2010

What do you get when you ask the people of the world to chronicle a single day in their lives? You get 80,000 submissions, 4500 hours of footage, from 192 countries. Kevin Macdonald has taken this raw material, all shot on July 24, 2010, and created a 90-minute paean to what it means to be human in the world today.

After watching this film, I tried to remember where exactly I was on July 24th. The answer was the most beautiful place I have ever been to. Lofoten, Norway.

I’ll share some pictures from that day soon here. ;)

RSA Animate - Crises of Capitalism

If the salaries paid for labour go up, costs of products and, specially, services will go up too. Are we ready for that? I believe I am. I lived in Norway, and that’s how the system works so well there.

I had problems with the Vimeo version, so I decided to re-publish the YouTube one, to have it on my Tumblr record.

No one has yet commented on one very clear mistake that I just noticed after finishing the video… Let’s call it an Easter egg.. ;)

And btw, the error on Vimeo was a copyright one because of the Jack Johnson song. Meanwhile on YouTube they are clever enough to add a link to download the song legally. #vimeofail
